Petron enters the quarterfinals on an 11-match win streak but coach Shaq Delos Santos says he has warned the Blaze Spikers against taking the Lady Skippers lightly.
“Para sa amin napakalaking opportunity nito and hindi naming pwedeng gawin yung pagiging complacent dapat maging mas inspired kami at pagbutihin namin,” said Delos Santos.
The Blaze Spikers featuring Ces Molina, Mika Reyes, Aiza Maizo-Pontillas, Rhea Dimaculangan, Denden Lazaro, Sisi Rondina and Bernadeth Pons clash with the Lady Skippers featuring Dimdim Pacres, Judith Abil, Ivy Remulla, Rhea Ramirez and Cesca Racraquin.
Third-ranked Foton, which finished with an 8-6 card, battles No. 6 PLDT (6-8) in the 4:15 pm match.
The survivor battles the winner of F2 Logistics-Sta Lucia match also on Saturday.
The Power Hitters upsets Generika-Ayala and F2 Logistics to finish their preliminary campaign on a high note, while the Tornadoes ended a three-match skid with a pivotal three-set victory over Marinerang Pilipina.
Foton continues to bank on sisters Jaja Santiago and Dindin Santiago-Manabat with a strong supporting crew of Shaya Adorador, Mina Aganon, Ellaine Kasilag Gyselle Sy, Jen Reyes and newly-activated rookie Eya Laure.
PLDT, meanwhile, has Grethcel Soltones, Jerrili Malabanan, Aiko Urdas, Sasa Devanadera, Gen Casugod, Jasmine Nabor and Lizlee Pantone.
