GENERIKA-Ayala marched into Pool C after an easy win over Cherrylume, 25-16, 25-20, 25-17, in the Philippine Super Liga All-Filipino Conference on Thursday at Strike Gymnasium in Bacoor, Cavite.
National team member Genevieve Casugod and Fiola Ceballos teamed up to lead the Life Savers’ offense with a combined 21-point effort.
Marian Buitre and Mikaela Lopez each had seven markers for Generika-Ayala, while Angeli Araneta added six.
The Life Savers finished the group stage with a 2-1 win-loss record and will join Cignal, Foton and Petron in Pool C.
Mary Ann Mendrez made 13 points for Cherrylume, which dropped to 0-3 and will join defending champion F2 Logistics and Sta. Lucia in Pool D.
Both groups will engage in another round of action to determine the quarterfinal ranking.
