F2 Logistics took solo lead in the Philippine Super Liga All Filipino Conference after it trounced Amy’s, 25-13, 25-14, 25-23, Thursday at The Arena in San Juan.
UAAP Finals MVP Kim Dy finished with 12 points, while top rookie pick Ara Galang and Mika Reyes added 10 apiece for the Cargo Movers, who notched their second win in as many games.
After dominating the first two sets, F2 Logistics failed to close out the game easily after falling into a maze of errors, and allowed Amy to gain some momentum.
The Cargo Movers had 25 turnovers in all.
“Naumpisahan kasi ng errors ang third set tapos nakaramdam ng kumpiyansa ang Amy’s at inenjoy na lang siguro ng Amy’s ang third set nabaliktad sa side namin, nagkagulo,” said Cargo Movers coach Ramil de Jesus.
The veteran mentor also revealed wanting to lose a set to the Spikers and see how F2 Logistics will react.
“Mas gusto ko pa ‘yung nakuha ng Amy’s ‘yung isang set para makita namin kung ano pa ang kayang gawin ng team and makita kung ano pa ang dapat ayusin sa team,” he said.
Kim Fajardo registered 26 of the team’s 28 excellent sets, while libero Dawn Macandili and Galang teamed up on defense. Macandili had 10 digs and six excellent receptions, even as Galang came up with five digs and eight excellent receptions.
Skipper Cindy Imbo and Maribeth Lara finished with six markers apiece for Amy’s, which remained winless in two matches.
