PETRON looks to complete a sweep of the elimination round, while Shopinas tries to boost its chances for an outright semifinal berth when the Blaze Spikers and Lady Clickers clash on Monday in the Philippine Super Liga All-Filipino Conference at the Cuneta Astrodome.
The Blaze Spikers led by Dindin Santiago-Manabat, Aby Marano and Rachel Anne Daquis have earlier secured the first outright semifinal berth and are now a win away from an elims sweep.
Standing in their way and looking to exact revenge are the Lady Clickers led by Cha Cruz and Paneng Mercado, who are running second in the six-team tournament with a 5-3 win-loss card.
The match starts at 6:30 p.m.
Petron is coming off a straight-sets win over Mane ‘N Tail, while Shopinas won a four-set match against Cignal.
Foton, running third with a 4-4 record, also tries to improve its chances for an outright spot in the last four as it battles cellar-dwelling Cignal (1-7) in the 4:30 p.m. match after Philips Gold clashes with Mane ‘N Tail at 1:30 p.m.
The Tornadoes ended a three-match slide with a five-set win over Philips Gold on Saturday.
The bottom four teams after the eliminations will play in the knockout quarterfinals at the Quezon Convention Center in Quezon Province as part of the league's "Spike on Tour" on Saturday.
"Kailangan namin ma-sustain ang momentum," said Petron coach George Pascua. "Mahirap mag-relax. Lahat naghahanda kaya kailangan namin magfocus sa mga kalaban."
