FOTON looks to assert its supremacy as Petron tries to end a run of futility as Philippine Superliga Grand Prix finals get going on Thursday in the at The Arena in San Juan.
The Tri-Activ Spikers and Tornadoes clash at 7 p.m. after the 5 o’clock match between F2 Logistics and RC Cola-Army, which are battling for third place.
Foton, which beat Petron the finals last year, breezed through the preliminaries with 9-1 win-loss card, before pulling off a five-set win over RC Cola-Army in the semifinals.
The Tornadoes, led by American import Lindsay Stalzer, also prevailed over the Tri-Activ Spikers twice in the preliminaries.
