DEFENDING champion Petron eyes its second straight win as it battles skidding Foton on Tuesday in the Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference at the Arena in San Juan.

The Blaze Spikers started their bid for a three-peat with a quick win over newcomer Marinerang Pilipina last week and now try to make it back-to-back as they face the Tornadoes at 7 p.m.

Foton, which has a 1-2 win-loss card, tries to recover from a four-set loss to unbeaten leader F2 Logistics (3-0).

Petron head coach Shaq Delos Santos is not taking Foton lightly despite its struggles for the past two matches.

“Contenders pa rin yan, powerhouse team at matatangkad so kailangan pa rin namin sila paghandaan maigi,” said Delos Santos, who is pinning hopes on Aiza Maizo-Pontillas, Ces Molina, Mika Reyes, Rhea Dimaculangan and Bernadeth Pons.

Sisters Jaja Santiago and Dindin Santiago-Manabat, meanwhile, try to push the Tornadoes back on track.

Cignal debuts against Sta. Lucia (1-2) at 4:15 p.m. after 2 p.m. match between PLDT Home Fibr (1-1) and Marinerang Pilipina (0-3).

The HD Spikers parade their new setter Alohi Robins-Hardy, the 6-foot-2 acquisition from disbanded United Volleyball Club, and La Salle players May Luna and Norielle Ipac, along with mainstays Rachel Anne Daquis, Mylene Paat and Jheck Dionela.
