    Apr 10, 2015

PETRON hopes to keep its engine going in the Philippine Super Liga All Filipino Conference as it takes on lowly Mane ‘N Tail Saturday at the Astrodome.

The Blaze Spikers are on a four-game winning run and remain unbeaten in as many games behind the powerhouse lineup of Dindin Santiago-Manabat, Rachel Anne Daquis, Aby Marano, and Maica Morada.

Last year's Grand Prix champion, Petron battles Mane ‘N Tail at 4:30 p.m.

The fancied Blaze Spikers are coming off a 23-25, 25-16, 25-13, 25-11 triumph over Cignal on Thursday.

Mane ‘N Tail is looking to snap a two-game skid as it bids to become the first team to beat the Blazae Spikers.

The Lady Stallions are currently tied with sister team Philips Gold at the bottom of the standings with a 1-3 (win-loss) card.

Meanwhile, Foton tries to keep within striking distance of league leader Petron when the Tornadoes tangle with Philips Gold in the first game at 2:30 p.m.

The Tornadoes currently hold a 3-1 slate as they try to extend their three-game winning run behind rookies Nicole Tiamzon and Pam Lastimosa, and veteran Patty Jane Orendain.

Tiamzon, out of University of the Philippines, has been making a name for herself in the country’s fledgling volleyball league after she leading the Tornadoes in their 24-26, 25-19, 25-21, 25-15 win over Man ‘N Tail on Thursday along with Lastimosa.

The niece of PBA great Jojo Lastimosa came away with 16 points, scattered from 11 hits, four blocks, and one service ace against the Lady Stallions.
