STANDARD Insurance Navy whipped Amy’s Kitchen, 25-17, 25-9, 25-14, on Sunday at the start of the classification round of the Philippine Super Liga All Filipino Conference at The Arena in San Juan.
Former Adamson top hitter Pau Soriano scored 13 points as the Corvettes took a step ahead in the classification for fifth to eighth places.
The Corvettes next play Cignal on Saturday and Generika on Sunday.
“Lahat nagkaunawaan sa loob ng court gusto nilang manalo kaya ‘yun ang outcome,” said Standard Insurance Navy coach Nene Ybanez-Chavez.
“Desire nila is to win kasi back to zero lahat, although nasa bottom four kami, we aim for a higher place na sana mag-fifth,” she added.
Florence Madulid had nine points for, Lilet Mabbayad chipped in with seven markers and Jonah Sabete scored six for Navy.
Lourdes Clemente had nine points for Amy’s Kitchen.
