PLDT Air Force showed no sign of fatigue from a tough four-setter the night before, scoring a quick win over Maybank, 25-14, 25-20, 25-15, on Saturday at the Cuneta Astrodome to remain unbeaten in the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix.

National team star Ranran Abdilla scored just three points in limited minutes but Air Force still proved too much for Maybank, completing the win in just 64 minutes.

The Power Attackers look to complete a sweep of the elimination round when it takes on Bench-Systema on Wednesday.

Dominico Lucindo had eight points, while JP Torres, setter Ronaldo Casillan, Ron Jay Galang and former MVP Kheeno Franco also had six markers apiece as Air Force scored its third win.

Air Force coach Jasper Jimenez noted they didn’t have too much trouble against the seemingly disinterested Maybank squad.

“Nakalaban na rin nila ’yan last year and sa nakita ko naman hindi gaanong eager manalo ang Maybank,” said Jimenez.

“Ito talaga ang game plan ko gagamitin ko ’yung mga players ng unang PLDT team, hindi ito experiment lang. Kahit sino kasi talaga sa team ang hugutin mo gagana,” he added.

Joshua Alcarde scored eight points, while Jasper Adorador added six for Maybank, winless in three matches.
