GENERIKA made shot work of Foton, 25-22, 25-15, 25-18, on Friday to claim back-to-back wins in the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix at the Cuneta Astrodome.

Russian import Natalia Korobkova scored 20 points for the Life Savers, Aby Marano had nine, Micmic Laborte added eight, while Paneng Mercado and Cha Cruz each had seven markers.

The Life Savers now hold an even win-loss record of 3-3 for a share of third spot with the HD Lady Spikers. Irina Tarasova had 10 points for the Tornadoes, who absorbed their sixth loss in seven outings.

Generika also won in straight sets over Cignal on Wednesday, but Life Savers coach Ramil de Jesus said this win was much different.

“Hindi ako masaya kasi slow ang first set namin,” said the many-time UAAP champion coach with La Salle.

“Masama lang talaga ang nilaro ng Foton. Hindi rin gauge ang larong ito kung pataas na ang laro namin," he added.

The Life Savers gave away 30 points through errors, while the Tornadoes committed only 17 miscues.
