COACH Sammy Acaylar is trying to keep Cignal motivated after missing the semifinals, urging the players to focus on the battle for fifth place in the Super Liga Grand Prix.

The team ended the elimination round with only one win in 10 games, but Acaylar is hoping they can salvage fifth spot in the six-team tournament.

"Sabi ko sa kanila forget everything, we are going now to face Generika and our objective now is fifth place," he said.

The HD Spikers bowed in four sets to F2 Logisics in a playoff round but can end the tournament on a bright note as they play in the classification match against Generika on Saturday in Legazpi City, Albay.

"Yes, I'm proud of them, kasi sabi ko magreregret kayo kapag hindi niyo binigay ang pinaka the best niyo pero binigay niyo ang best niyo so no regrets, hanggang dito lang muna tayo," he said.

Playing against the only team that they defeated, the multi-titled coach reminded his players to just have fun.

"Basta no pressure lang, wala na tayo magagawa eh, nothing to lose na," he said.

"Masaya naman ako kasi nakita ko na hindi sila pressured sa loob ng court, naglalaro na lang sila."
