THREE-time champion RC Cola Army is out to prove that they still got what it takes to rule the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix.

The Lady Troopers hope to rediscover their old fighting form will battle defending champ Foton on Saturday in Legazpi City.

But unlike their previous title runs where they were on attack, the once mighty and invincible RC Cola Army look to apply some strategic tweaks to defeat top-seeded Foton.

"Mag-iiba kami ng atake. Kung dati puro opensa kami, ngayon kailangan namin maging mabilis at mautak," said Lady Troopers assistant coach Rico de Guzman, architect of the team's three-peat.

With an aging core in Tina Salak, Nene Bautista, Michelle Carolino all in their 30's, de Guzman is banking on the team's young guns Jovelyn Gonzaga, Rachel Anne Daquis, Royse Tubino, Tin Agno with American imports Kierra Holst and Hailie Ripley to step up.

The Army sargeant's main plan of attack is to deceive the tall frontline of Foton featuring American imports Lindsay Stalzer, Ariel Usher and the Santiago sisters Jaja and Dindin.

"'Yung mga mas batang players at 'yung imports, sila ang aasahan namin sa bagong strategy namin," said de Guzman. "Kailangan maging mabilis ang footwork nila, maging mabilis ang galaw, para malito namin ang blockers ng kalaban."

"Masyado silang matatangkad kaya ang pantapat namin bilis," he added.
