PETRON breezed past F2 Logistics, 25-17, 25-22, 25-19, to bag its second consecutive win in the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix at The Arena in San Juan on Tuesday.

American import Stephanie Niemer dominated on both ends of the floor to lead the way for the Tri-Activ Spikers, who took the solo lead with a 2-0 win-loss card.

Niemer, who stands 6-flat, took the offensive load after she finished with 21 points, from 15 kills, two blocks and four service aces, but she had an impressive job defensively with four digs and eight excellent receptions.

Skipper Ces Molina proved she’s worthy of her spot for the WCWC with 12 points, including six of the team’s 14 service aces, for the Tri-Activ Spikers.

“Sobrang happy kami kasi ang performance namin gumaganda,” said Petron coach Shaq delos Santos.

“Swerte kami sa import namin, both imports, kasi ang middle namin (Serena Warner) sobrang sipag mag-block and ‘yung isa (Niemer) ang galing sa service. Good thing nagco-contribute din ng maayos ang locals namin,” he added.

Aiza Maizo-Pontillas added nine and American import and 6-foot-5 middle blocker Serena Warner chipped in eight.

Sydney Kemper finished with nine points for F2 Logistics, which dropped to 0-2 after losing to defending champion Foton in the opening day.

Meanwhile, contrary to the team’s previous statement, Ara Galang, who was supposed to miss three games after her minor knee operation, came off the bench for the Cargo Movers.
