Uncle-nephew tandem of Guzman, Arbasto stun Bagunas-Natividad to rule PSL beach volley
Kris Roy Guzman and Lemuel Arbasto get back at Bryan Bagunas and James Natividad. Marlo Cueto

FOTON’s Lemuel Arbasto and Kris Roy Guzman stunned erstwhile undefeated Sands by the Bay pair Bryan Bagunas and James Natividad, 21-15, 21-15, to rule the Philippine Super Liga Beach Volleyball Challenge Cup at Sands by the Bay on Sunday.

The win was a sweet revenge for the nephew and uncle duo of University of Sto. Tomas, who lost to Bagunas and Natividad of National University in the UAAP Season 80 men’s beach volleyball tournament in October.

Smart’s Philip Bagalay and Gregory Utupo defeated Cignal’s Jessie Lopez and Mike Abria, 21-16, 22-20, to bag the bronze medal.
