Petron bounces back, keeps Sta. Lucia winless in Super Liga All Filipino
Aiza Maizo Pontillas, Bernadeth Pons and the Blaze Spikers score their second win in three outings.

PETRON defeated Sta. Lucia, 25-18, 25-16, 25-20, on Tuesday to get back on track in the PSL All-Filipino Conference at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Bernadeth Pons led the way with 10 points, six on attacks and three on aces, as the Blaze Spikers climbed to 2-1 at the end of the first round in Pool A.

The Blaze Spikers bounced back from a four-set loss to Cignal last week.

"Kailangan mag-focus kami sa lahat ng ginagawa namin," said Petron coach Shaq Delos Santos.

"Kanina marami kaming attack errors. Kailangan namin gandahan 'yung first ball para maka-set ng play."

Aiza Maizo-Pontillas added nine points, while Sisi Rondina contributed seven points for the Blaze Spikers.

Fil-American Mar-Jana Phillips had 12 points for the Realtors, winless in two matches.
