UNDEFEATED in five games so far in the Grand Prix, Foton coach Moro Branislav is confident his team can replicate Petron’s 13-0 conference sweep in the Philippine Super Liga.

The defending champion Tornadoes are currently on a roll almost halfway through the tournament, and the Serbian mentor was straight forward in saying Foton is fully capable of matching Petron's feat in last year’s All-Filipino conference.

“I’m ready, why would I come here?” he said.

The 59-year old mentor, who has coached club leagues and national teams across Europe and Asia, has come to expect only the best for the squads he's handled.

Branislav expects nothing less from his stacked team led by American hitters Lindsay Stalzer and Ariel Usher, along with a stellar local crew of Jaja and Dindin Santiago, Maika Ortiz, Angeli Araneta, Sisi Rondina, EJ Laure and experienced setter Rhea Dimaculangan.

“All my life when I work for one team I always think that’s the best in that country - that’s my psychology,” he said.

“Not even for one time in my life that I thought otherwise,” he added. “So every time I play, that is my psychology for the last 30 years of coaching in every country, I have been in 11 countries.”

However, Branislav insist he's not putting undue pressure on his players to sweep the tournament as he only hopes to fire them up to play better each game.

“Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose. This is part of volleyball but I’m ready for this (challenge for a sweep),” he said.
