Mika Reyes all business in first PSL match against longtime college teammates
"Professional lang," says prized Petron recruit Mika Reyes. Jaime Campos

MIKA Reyes was all business while playing against her erstwhile club, made up mostly of former college teammates, when Petron defeated F2 Logistics in its PSL All-Filipino Conference debut.

Petron overcame a two-set deficit to take a thrilling 23-25, 23-25, 25-14, 25-15, 15-9 victory, but Reyes insisted it was just another day at the office for her.

"Professional lang," said Reyes, who finished with six points against her former La Salle teammates. "Inside the court, magkalaban kami pero outside the court, wala naman 'yun."

Incidentally, it was Reyes' block over Desiree Cheng that sealed the win for Petron. Reyes, however, believes the Cargo Movers are capable of bouncing back from the stinging setback.

"Babawi sila for sure. I was once part of that team. Alam ko 'yung kumbaga La Sallian attitude," said Reyes.

Reyes, who is also the team captain of the Philippine national team, said it is too early in the conference to know how a rejigged Petron side will fare in the conference.

"This is just the beginning. First game ng both teams. Marami pa rin mangyayari in the middle of the tournament. Siyempre, we are happy. I'm happy na nanalo 'yung team," said Reyes.
