GENERIKA-Ayala bounced back with a 25-16, 25-19, 25-23 victory over winless Victoria Sports-University of Sto. Tomas in the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix on Tuesday at The Arena in San Juan.

Croatian import Katarina Pilepic put on a show with 22 points for the Life Savers, who needed only 51 minutes to finish the match.

The Life Savers, coming off a straight-sets loss to F2 Logistics, improved its win-loss record to 3-4 for sixth spot.

Generika-Ayala coach Francis Vicente noted the players still could not sustain the intensity throughout the match.

The Lifesavers were behind late in the third set, 18-19, and Vicente was not very pleased.

“Kailangan pa naming mag-step up, although maganda ang nilaro nila, nakita ko lang na ‘yun na naman tayo, tending to relax in the end of the sets,” he said.

“Kailangan lang nilang pag-kill, talaga kill, huwag ng mag-relax para dominant na sa lahat ng points na ginagawa nila. May error pa rin eh. Kailangan bawasan,” he added.

Dimdim Pacres scored 10 points for the Tigresses, who remained winless in five outings.
