Jaja Santiago comes up with 30 points to help Foton score their seventh win in eight outings. 

JAJA Santiago returned to helped Foton scrape past RC Cola-Army, 25-20, 20-25, 29-27, 21-25, 15-7, on Saturday in the Superliga Grand Prix at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City.

Santiago, who missed three matches to train with mother team National University, scored 30 points, with 22 kills, five blocks and three aces as the Tornadoes scored their seventh win in eight outings.

American mport Lindsay Stalzer delivered 19 kills and three blocks for 25 markers for the Tornadoes.

It was a huge win for the Tornadoes ahead of their last two matches of the preliminaries against Cignal and Petron.

“This is such a good win for us,” said Foton coach Moro Branislav of Serbia, pleased with the big victory after absorbing a four-set loss to F2 Logistics.

“Although we’re glad with the win, our focus is the playoffs because anything can happen there. I’m just glad with how the team responded after our previous lost.”

Former United States juniors national team member Kierra Holst tallied 24 points, Jovelyn Gonzaga added 17 and Honey Royse Tubino scored 15 for the Lady Troopers, who absorbed their fifth loss in eight outings.
