Foton star Jaja Santiago says she has yet to hit top form in wake of 35-point outing

JAJA Santiago felt she has yet to hit top form and said she didn’t even notice she had reached 35 points in a four-set Foton win over Generika in the Philippine Super LIga.

The National University star had 30 attacks, hit three aces and had two blocks to record the second highest points total by a local behind the 37 points set by her older sister and Foton teammate Dindin Santiago-Manabat when she was still playing for Petron.

What made the feat more impressive was that it came less than a week after her stint with the Rebisco Super Liga selection in the Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship.

The team took three days to return from Kazakhstan, making it just in time for the PSL opener on Tuesday.

Against new team Cherrylume, Santiago scored nine points on limited playing time. But she was back in top form against Generika just days later.

"Happy ako na unti-unting bumabalik laro ko," said Santiago. "Kasi parang nung last game namin, may jet lag pa.
