Ramil de Jesus wary of another 'no choice' scenario as F2 Logistics still in search for imports

WHILE other teams are already complete for the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix, F2 Logistics is still waiting for its foreign reinforcements to arrive before the import-laden conference kicks off on October 8.

F2 Logistics coach Ramil de Jesus, whose team just came from a successful title run in the All Filipino conference in August, could not help but get anxious whenever he’s asked about his imports.

Meanwhile, the imports of other teams started arriving in the country in the past two weeks.

Cignal has already been practicing with Lynda Morales of Puerto Rico and Laura Schaudt of USA, while Generika even went on a team-building activity with reinforcements Darlene Ramdin from USA and Polina Liutikova of Ukraine. Petron had American imports Stephanie Niemer and Serena Warner on board, RC Cola Army tapped Kierra Holst and Hailie Riple of USA and defending champion Foton will be bannered by Linsday Stalzer and Ariel Usher, who have been in the country since early this month for the 2016 AVC Asian Women’s Club Championship.

De Jesus hopes to avoid the same situation he had before when his former team Meralco was the last to secure its imports in Liis Kullerkann and Christina Alessi last year. Since both were outside hitters, the veteran mentor had to convert the other to middle blocker just to compensate for what he needs for the team.

“Hopefully may makuha pa kami,” he said.

“Ang kailangan namin is outside hitter at opposite,” he added.

F2 Logistics core from its All Filipino championship remained intact led by Cha Cruz, Ara Galang, Aby Marano, Kim Fajardo, Majoy Baron, Kim Dy, Dawn Macandili, while former Cignal players Jannine Navarro and Djanel Cheng were added to the team.
