F2 stays unscathed in PSL All-Filipino, downs titleholder Petron behind balanced scoring effort
The Cargo Movers score their sixth win in as many outings. 

BATANGAS City — F2 Logistics turned back defending champion Petron, 25-15, 19-25, 25-19, 25-9, on Tuesday to stay unscathed in the Philippine Super Liga All Filipino Conference at Batangas City Coliseum.

The Cargo Movers had a balanced scoring effort with rookie Ara Galang scoring 12, while Aby Maraño, Mika Reyes, Kim Dy and skipper Cha Cruz had nine points each.

F2 scored its sixth win in as may outings, tied for the lead with Army.

Kim Fajardo, named on Sunday to the PSL selection that will see action in the FIVB Women's Club World Championship, registered all but one of the team's 30 excellent sets while scoring six points.

Aiza Maizo and Ces Molina combined for 21 points for Petron, which suffered its second loss in six matches.

“Naka tSamba kami ngayong araw na ito although maganda rin ang ipinakita ng Petron siguro naka-adjust na ng konti ’ yung team namin," said F2 Logistics coach Ramil de Jesus.

"At saka mahaba pa ito, hindi lang isa or dalawang laro ’yung pwedeng magharap kami ng team ng Petron, madami pang adjustment na pwedeng gawin," he added.

The Cargo Movers had eight blocks against only one by the Tri-Activ Spikers, and had more services aces, 12-3.

"Halos sa amin no bearing naman kasi wala ka naman kailangan ipanalo ang importante lang na ndoon ka sa top 4," added De Jesus.
