CIGNAL came from a set down to frustrate Mane ‘N Tail, 20-25, 25-23, 25-18, 25-23, and clinch fifth place in the Philippine Super Liga All Filipino Conference at the Cuneta Astrodome on Monday night.

Cherry May Vivas came through with 17 points for the HD Spikers while Jeanette Panaga and Mela Tunay added 13 and 11 points, respectively, in a classification match that took almost two hours to finish.

Coming off a 25-21, 23-25, 9-25, 25-18, 18-20 heartbreaker at the hands of Philips Gold in the knockout quarterfinals in Lucena on Saturday, Cignal fought back to end the conference on a winning note.

Despite giving away too many points to Mane ‘N Tail with its 32 errors, the HD Spikers dominated the attacks (54-43).

Both Cignal and Mane 'N Tail ended the eliminations with identical 2-8 win-loss cards. But the HD Spikers finished in fifth place due to superior quotient.

Former Cignal players Honey Royse Tubino and Abi Praca finished with 17 and 15 points apiece for Mane ‘N Tail.
