Cignal scores first win in Super Liga All Filipino at expense of Generika
Mela Tunay and the HD Spikers finally make it to the win column.

CIGNAL finally scored a win in the Super Liga All Filipino Conference, downing Generika, 25-21, 22-25, 25-22, 25-18, on Saturday at The Arena in San Juan.

Janine Navarro scored delivering 18 of her game-high 22 points on kills while Cherry Vivas chipped in 18 markers for the HD Spikers, who suffered four consecutive losses before finally notching their first win.

“All we need is a win like this to get back our confidence,” said Cignal coach Sammy Acaylar. “I challenged the team to keep on winning. We have to start somewhere. And we have to start now.”

Chloe Cortez registered 13 kills with two blocks and finished with 16 points, Gen Casugod scored 12 and Shaya Adorador had 10 points for the Lifesavers, joined the HD Spikers at the bottom of the team standings with a 1-4 win-loss slate.
