SHOPINAS.COM stalwart Cha Cruz has just been named as the new ambassadress of the Philippine Super Liga (PSL).

Tats Suzara, president of the PSL, announced on Saturday the former La Salle star will be the face of the fledgling league for the 2015 season.

Cruz is taking over from Ateneo alum Gretchen Ho and athlete/actor Richard Gomez, whose terms as PSL ambassadress and ambassador, respectively, ended last year.

“Blessed, kasi hindi naman lahat nabibigyan ng opportunity (kagaya nito),” the charming volleyball player told on Sunday.

As league ambassadress, Cruz’s role will be to promote the ideals and the objectives of the PSL.

“And I know kung ano man ‘yung ibigay sa akin I will do what I can kung ano man ‘yung kaya kong gawin,” she said.

Cruz’s appointment was a no brainer for the PSL selection committee as she has the qualities of a good ambassadress.

“We want to have a good example for the players to promote the PSL,” said Suzara. “Not just to be a good role model for the players but for the families who also watch the games.”

Cruz will be formally introduced as the new league ambassadress in a simple ceremony on Monday after the match at the Cuneta Astodome.
