CHARMING imports Alaina Bergsma and Erica Adachi would love to reinforce Petron when it represents the country in the Asian Club Championship in Vietnam this April.

Seeing action in the Asian meet is part of the Lady Blazers’ incentive for ruling last year’s Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix.

Although the competition is still three months away, both Bergsma and Adachi, who fell in love with the Philippines and the Filipinos during their two months stay here, expressed their desire to suit up anew for the Lady Blazers.

“I would love to play for Petron in the Asian tournament. It’s going to be awesome so I hope I’ll be back,” said Adachi, who after the PSL stayed here for a while and visited El Nido in Palawan.

Adachi said the tournament won't pose any conflict as far as her schedule is concerned. If plans push through, it will be the first time for the Brazilian-Japanese setter to compete in the Asian tournament.

Unlike Adachi, Bergsma didn’t have much time to travel around the country as she immediately left for China shortly after the PSL to be with her husband.

But just the same, she expressed the desire to come back and be with Petron.

The former Miss Oregon, USA is currently playing in a league in Puerto Rico, but if given a chance she expressed her desire to play again for the Lady Blazers.

“I’m not committed yet. I’m playing in a Puerto Rican volleyball season starting in January so I’m not sure what the conflict will be, but I absolutely love to play for the Philippines and stay with team Petron,” said Bergsma.

Petron became just the second team to win a PSL championship after powerhouse Philippine Army won the first three conferences of the meet.
