PHILIPPINE Super Liga has selected Aiza Maizo to be the team captain of a league-formed All Star team seeing action in the Thai-Denmark Super League, but the Petron standout declined the nomination.

Although grateful for the trust given her by the team, Maizo politely declined the position in a talk with PSL president Tats Suzara during the presentation of the squad on Tuesday night.

“Sir, nahihiya po ako, pwedeng iba na lang? Kahit sa UST (noong nag team captain ako) nahihiya rin ako,” she told Suzara during the team practice at the FEU gym in Morayta.

Suzara accepted the decision and asked head coach George Pascua to name the new team captain.

To make the matter interesting, Suzara is asking netizens to guess who the new skipper should be, saying the new skipper will be announced on March 8
