MINA Aganon showed the way as Foton bounced back in the Philippine Super Liga All-Filipino Conference, defeating Cocolife, 25-23, 26-28, 25-21, 25-19, on Tuesday at The Arena in San Juan.
Aganon scored 18 points and had 22 digs and eight excellent receptions for the Tornadoes, who copped their fifth win in six outings.
Carla Sandoval added 18 markers for Foton, while Gyzelle Sy registered 24 excellent sets in the two-hours and 15-minute match.
Coach Aaron Velez was pleased to see the Tornadoes quickly recover from a straight-sets loss to F2 Logistics.
“I think motivated ang team kasi it’s still a positive energy na ginagawa ng mga bata,” he said.
“Kanina may konting hesitation kasi wala tayong aasahan (kundi ang sarili namin) so I think ‘yung effort na ginagawa nila na a-appreciate ng bawat isa compared sa hindi nagbibigay ng attempt or ng effort,” he added.
Kalei Mau had 21 points, 16 digs and six excellent receptions for Cocolife, which dropped to 1-5.
