MIKA Reyes lamented F2 Logistics’ struggles in receptions as the Cargo Movers were dragged into sudden death by Foton in the Philippine Super Liga All-Filipino Conference Finals.
The Cargo Movers won the first set of Game Two but dropped the final three sets, 18-25, 25-17, 25-22, 25-18, allowing Foton to live to fight a deciding Game Three is on Wednesday.
”We need good receptions para maka-perform ‘yung middle at maka-set yung setter. Siguro nalamangan lang kami ng side nila na they were able to execute their plays especially sa middle,” Reyes said.
“Siyempre position ko naman kasi is middle, so I guess kailangan ko ng reception,” she added.
In contrast, Foton had better receptions in Game Two that allowed Rhea Dimaculangan to set up Sisi Rondina and Jaja Santiago on offense, Reyes said.
“Siguro they had a good reception, and then kami sa side namin, hindi poor per se, mas maraming errors so I guess malaking factor din yun,” said Reyes.
Reyes, however, said her team’s loss was definitely not because of lack of effort, saying F2 Logistics was not able to counter Foton’s momentum in Game Two.
“Siguro momentum of the game,” she said. “Hindi naman kami nawalan ng gana. Nakuha lang nila yung momentum.”
