MIKA Reyes is pleased to be on the same side as Sisi Rondina not only because of her talent, but also because of her positive attitude.
Rondina made her presence felt in her first match as a Petron player, scoring 21 points in leading the Blaze Spikers’ comeback from two sets down against F2 Logistics on Thursday night in the PSL All-Filipino Conference.
“First time namin magka-teammate,” said Reyes. “I like her attitude kasi sa training pa lang, super ang gaan niya kasama.
Reyes also appreciated Rondina’s positive influence on teammates, saying the UST spiker helped calm her down after committing a service error.
That positive impact also allowed Petron to regroup and orchestrate a comeback victory against the reigning All-Filipino champions.
“Hindi kami super na-down. Na-feel ko rin sa mga teammates ko na they are enjoying the game. Sabi namin, hindi pa tapos ang laro. Then, nakuha namin ‘yung third and fourth set. All-out na kami sa fifth,” said Reyes.
