DE La Salle volleyball star Mika Reyes can stand on the court before a booming spike and not once flinch.
But don't ask her to watch horror movies with you.
That statuesque Lady Spiker admitted she can't stand watching movies about ghosts, mystical creatures or paranormal activity, which usually fill both cable and free television channels during the Halloween break.
"I don't watch lang sa TV (ang) shows ng mga horror stories kasi nahihirapan ako mag-shower," she said, cringing at the mere thought. "Naiimagine ko!"
"Naiimagine ko andon na (sa shower) or andoon na sa room ('yung pinanood ko)," she added smiling.
The 5-11 middle blocker who served as Barako Bull's muse in the last PBA opening rites said she remembered watching two horror movies - never mind if her eyes are mostly covered during the really frightening scenes.
"Usually natatapos ko naman (pero) naka takip lang eyes ko," she said laughing. "The Orphan medyo malala din 'yun or The Conjuring din."
Reyes may not entirely enjoy the Halloween season, but blushed when told she looked blooming.
"Dahil sa volleyball and studies (kaya ako blooming)," she said smiling. "Wala, wala akong love life, focus lang talaga sa volleyball and school, 'yun ang priority ko ngayon."
