MARIA Jose Perez of F2 Logistics bagged the MVP award on top of winning the championship in the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix.
The Venezuelan spiker powered the Cargo Movers to their first Grand prix title at the expense of their All-Filipino tormentors Petron, 25-20, 25-19, 20-25, 25-18, on Saturday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Although Perez won a title and the MVP award, it was a difficult situation for her after her older brother succumbed to cancer on Friday.
Four other players from F2 Logistics copped an individual award - Majoy Baron (second best middle blocker), Kim Dy (second best opposite spiker), Kim Fajardo (best setter) and Dawn Macandili (first best libero).
Meanwhile, Petron imports Hillary Hurley and Lindsay Stalzer were the first and second best outside spikers, respectively.
Blaze Spikers charmer Mika Reyes was the first best middle blocker, and Japanese libero Yuri Fukuda was the second best libero.
Foton standouts Jaja Santiago and Serbian import Sara Klisura also had their awards.
Santiago, who was not present during the awarding, was the first best opposite spiker, while Klisura, who registered a league-record of 41 points in a five-set win over F2 Logistics in the elimination round, was the best scorer in a match.
