    Mane 'N Tail coach says players' overconfidence led to quick loss to cellar-dwelling Foton

    MANE ‘N Tail coach Francis Vicente said overconfidence led to their quick loss to bottom team Foton in the Super Liga on Wednesday.

    A straight-sets win over Generika in their previous match got in his players’ heads, says Vicente and the result was an equally quick straight-sets drubbing at the hands of the cellar-dwelling Foton.

    Vicente, however, did not mention specific players or area of Mane 'N Tail's game that was amiss.

    "Maybe it's off, but the way we see it maybe because of what happened to Generika. We won in three sets pumasok sa ulo nila 'yun," Vicente told Spin.ph.

    "Kung sa Tagalog lumaki ang ulo, sumobra ang laki ng ulo. Akala nila iaabot na lang sa kanila 'yung panalo," Vicente said.

    It was Foton’s first win in six matches, while Mane ‘N Tail suffered its third loss in five outings.

    “’Yung Foton nothing to lose they're just enjoying the game if they win it's a bonus for them,” said Vicente.

    “While, us, we need to win to maintain that spot. 'Di ko alam kung na-tense sila or overconfident pero ang basa ko overconfident."
