DEFENDING champion F2 Logistics barely broke a sweat against lowly Cherrylume, 25-5, 25-10, 25-11, in the Philippine Super Liga All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday at The Arena in San Juan.
Kim Dy scored 11 points for the Cargo Movers, while national team member Aby Marano, Majoy Baron and Desiree Cheng each had nine markers.
F2 Logistics needed only an hour to finish off Cherrylume, cruising to its third straight win after starting the tournament with back-to-back losses.
Cargo Movers coach Ramil de Jesus told his wards to show no mercy on the Iron Lady Warriors as they prepare for the quarterfinals.
“Kailangan mataas ang laruin kasi pagdating ng quarterfinals hindi ganoon ang mga kalaban mo,” said de Jesus. “So kailangan mapractice na ang kailangan mong gawin.”
F2 Logistics dominated the match in attacks (39-10), blocks (6-2) and service aces (12-1).
Mariella Gabarda scored four points, while Zilfa Geline Olarve and Ma. Erika Lopez contributed three markers apiece for the Iron Lady Warriors, winless in five matches.
