F2 Logistics returned to the Super Liga All Filipino finals after defeating Cignal, 25-15, 25-15, 25-14, on Thursday at The Arena in San Juan.
Aby Marano, Ara Galang and Majoy Baron each scored 10 points for F2, which will face the winner of the semifinal match between Petron and Foton.
It was a sweet payback for F2 Logistics, which lost to Cignal in four sets in the first round, but coach Ramil de Jesus says there’s still no reason to celebrate.
“Sa ngayon hindi ko pa iniisip kasi hindi biro ’yung mga makakalaban,” said the veteran coach. “Kasi sa ngayon ang target namin maghanda kung sino man sa dalawa ang papasok.”
De Jesus noted there’s still work to be done, even as the Cargo Movers did very well to counter the HD Spikers power hitters Jovelyn Gonzaga, Rachel Anne Daquis and Royse Tubino.
“Natuto lang siguro ang mga bata doon sa first meeting namin ng Cignal so ayaw nilang maulit,” said de Jesus.
“Actually pinaghandaan naming ang receive, then (first round) nagulat din kami sa mag fast attacks nila and ngayon nag concentrate kami sa blockings,” he added.
Kim Dy had eight points for F2 Logistics, while Desiree Cheng chipped in six markers in a match that took an hour and nine minutes to finish.
The Cargo Movers minimized the HD Spikers' output (34-21 attacks).
Daquis only had nine points, while Gonzaga had five and Tubino scored three.
Cignal can salvage third spot against either Petron or Foton.
