CIGNAL import Lynda Morales will be out for one game due to a sprained left ankle she suffered after a bad fall in their game against Generika in the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix on Tuesday at The Arena in San Juan.
The Puerto Rican middle blocker will sit out against Foton on Thursday as she only needs to rest and undergo therapy
“One game lang siyang mawawala, nothing serious naman,” said Cignal coach Sammy Acaylar.
Morales, who had an early exit, hurt her left ankle due to an awkward landing after a block attempt on Generika import Darlene Ramdin midway in the first set.
Janine Marciano led the local crew for Cignal to step up in the absence of Morales. Cignal won its first game in three outings and buried Generika down the cellar, 22-25, 25-19, 21-25, 25-20, 15-4.
