FOTON import Lindsay Stalzer said she didn’t mind the taunting she got from Philips Gold’s Desiree Dadang during the two teams’ knockout semifinal in the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix Thursday night at The Arena in San Juan.
Stalzer stressed the important thing is the Tornadoes are in the finals where they meet the defending champions Petron Blaze Spikers starting next week.
“I know sometimes you do things out of just intensity during the match but I wasn't too worried about it,” said the former Bradley University standout when asked about the mocking she got from Dadang who pointed at her after she failed to reach the ball on a dig.
“I just wanted to let the ref know,” she said about the action of the Philips Gold stalwart during the fourth set.
While it may not be a big deal to her, Stalzer obviously vented her ire on the opponents as she finished with 29 points, including seven in the deciding set of Foton’s 25-18, 26-24, 18-25, 20-25, 15-8 win over its top-seeded opponent.
With a finals stint waiting, the 31-year-old Stalzer hopes to complete an unfinished business after suiting up for Cignal that was eliminated atn the semifinal stage by Petron last season.
