Coach Ramil de Jesus said the Power Spikers simply played pressure-free this time.
“Namiss namin ’yung tumalon after the game eh. So every game naman all out naman ’yung mga bata may mga times lang talaga na ’yung end game hindi namin masustain ’yung magandang galaw.”
“Ngayon siguro medyo relaxed sila, wala namang pressure o ano man sanay na sa natatalo eh.”
“So siguro narealize nila na it’s about time na kaya naman talutin tong RC so ayun maayos naman ang pinakita nila.”
“Medyo masaya rin kasi ‘yung manager nga namin nandyan nanood alam naman na walang pinanalo ‘yung team so ‘yung hope na manalo ang team andito pa rin ‘yun lang naman ang hinihiling na ‘wag naman sana maging winless ‘yung season,” he continued.
Mika Reyes scored nine, while Kim Fajardo and Cha Cruz chipped in eight points each. Fajardo registered all of the team’s 30 excellent sets.
The Power Spikers had more service aces, 8-3, and blocks, 8-3, were more were effective at digging, 24-16, and reception, 16-13.
“Yung service medyo nag-adjust kami talaga kasi parehas naman kasi, mahirap kasi sa isang team na hindi maka-receive ’yung import so parehas kami ng RC parehas ’di marunong mag-receive ’yung import namin so ikino-cover na lang siguro ng mga locals so siguro nagwork lang ‘yung service namin ngayon kaya kami nanalo,” said de Jesus.
American import Sara McClinton scored 13 points for RC Cola.
