AMERICAN import Kendra Dahlke showed the way as PLDT Home Fibr defeated Generika-Ayala, 25-21, 20-25, 29-27, 13-25, 15-12, in the Philippine Superliga Grand Prix on Tuesday at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
Dahlke unloaded a season-best 30 points on 27 kills, two blocks and an ace to go with 16 digs as the Power Hitters ended a two-match skid and evened their record to 4-4.
“Maganda yung laro ni Kendra ngayon especially in the third set ang ganda ng opensa niya ang laking tulong yun ang kailangan namin sa mga foreign players,” said PLDT head coach Roger Gorayeb.
Grace Lazard scored 18 points and made 10 excellent receptions, Aiko Urdas added 11 points and Shola Alvarez contributed 10 for PLDT.
Jasmine Nabor dished out 28 excellent sets, while libero Lizlee Pantone had 27 digs and 16 excellent receptions.
Generika-Ayala suffered its seventh loss in eight outings.
Kanjana Kuthaisong had 27 points and made 16 excellent receptions, Fiola Ceballos added 18 and Kseniya Kocygit scored 17 for the Lifesavers.
Bia General had 43 digs and 15 excellent receptions in for Generika.
The Power Hitters take on the Foton Tornadoes (1-6) on Thursday at 2 p.m., while the Lifesavers battle Cignal HD Spikers (4-3) on the same day at 4:15 p.m.
