GENERIKA-Ayala finally scored its first victory after six losses, beating Foton, 25-21, 25-22, 19-25, 20-25, 15-11, on Thursday in the Philippine Superliga Grand Prix at the Arena in San Juan.
Thai import Kanjana Kuthaisong scored 25, while making 15 digs and 10 excellent receptions for the Lifesavers.
Fiola Ceballos had 20 points off 17 spikes, two service aces and a block, while Kseniya Kocygit and Mikaela Lopez added 11 hits each.
Jamie Lavitoria dished out 23 excellent sets and scored four points, while libero Bia General had 29 digs and 24 excellent receptions.

“Sabi ko lang dikit tayo once makamomentum kami talagang makakahabol kami,” Generika-Ayala coach Sherwin Meneses said. “Sabi nga ng mga players ko, yung condition nila mataas pa. Hindi pa pagod kahit dikit dikit yung games namin. Nakatulong yun. Sana makakuha ng winning streak.”
The Tornadoes suffered their sixth straight loss.
Courtney Felinski led Foton with 24 points, making 14 digs and as many as excellent receptions.
Gen Casugod delivered 16 hits, Mina Aganon scored 14 and import Selime Ilyasoglu added 13 markers.
Generika-Ayala takes on PLDT, while Foton battles Petron on Tuesday.
