KALEI Mau made her debut in the Philippine Superliga Invitational Conference on the final day of eliminations, taking charge right away for F2 Logistics in a 25-22, 25-15, 25-15 demolition of Sta. Lucia on Sunday at the Arena in San Juan.
Mau, who missed F2’s first five matches due to left achilles injury, delivered 12 points, all coming from attacks as the Cargo Movers topped Pool D with a 5-6 record.
“Mas nagkaroon ako ng option dahil bumalik yung go to guy,” said F2 Logistics coach Ramil De Jesus. “Hindi pa siya one hundred percent kasi sabi nga ng Physical Therapist namin ready na siya tumalon and sumabay. Yung pinakatraining niya ito (na yun). Kahapon lang ako na-advise so inalalayan ko muna.”
Ara Galang and Kianna Dy chipped in 10 points apiece, while Aby Maraño added eight markers as the Cargo Movers came up with a quick win after a five-set victory over Generika-Ayala less than 24 hours ago in Caloocan City.
F2 Logistics takes on Pool C second placer Cignal in the knockout semifinals on Tuesday at the Malolos Sports and Convention Center.
Sta. Lucia bowed out of the tournament with a 2-4 record as Foton (3-3) earned the last semifinal berth.
