F2 LOGISTICS routed winless Marinerang Pilipina, 25-7, 25-9, 25-19, to complete a seven-match sweep of the first round of the Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference on Thursday at the Muntinlupa Sports Center.
Led by Kalei Mau and Ara Galang, the Cargo Movers showed no mercy in the match of leader against tailender, finishing the match in one hour and 14 minutes.
Filipina-American spiker Mau put up 12 points off 10 kills and two service aces, while making 12 digs, while Galang delivered 10 points. Majoy Baron scored eight and Kianna Dy added six points.
Coach Ramil De Jesus was happy to see a F2 core continue to get a boost from Mau, acquired during the tournament after the disbandment of United VC.
“Malaking bagay sa amin. Boost ng morale tapos nakaka-gain kami ng confidence ulit,” De Jesus said. “At least nakita namin ulit na first time nangyari since nung hindi pa nakakabalik yung injured players na nakasweep kami. Actually, Petron palagi nakakasweep.”
Still, De Jesus wasn’t very pleased with the overall performance as F2 allowed Marinerang Pilipina to stay close in the third set.
“Yung first two sets okay pero yung third set yung mga galing sa bench hindi ready,” De Jesus said. “At least yung first six medyo okay nagjejell at least nakikilala na isa’t isa. Yung sa kalaban late na sila naging aggressive kaya naunahan namin ng two sets.”
Marinerang Pilipina committed 25 errors, while F2 Logistics had only eight miscues.
Chiara Permentilla had nine points, 12 digs and four excellent receptions for Marinerang Pilipina, winelss in six matches.
