BATANGAS City — RC Cola Army zoomed to its sixth win in as many matches, whipping Generika, 25-13, 27-25, 25-19, on Tuesday to keep a share of the lead in the Philippine Super Liga All Filipino Conferenceon at the Batangas City Coliseum.
Rachel Anne Daquis led the way for the Lady Troopers with 13 points and six digs, while Jovelyn Gonzaga also had 13 points.
Coach Kungfu Reyes said the key was keeping the pace slower than what Generika wanted.
“Every two to three seconds nagbabago ang tempo ng laro so it’s anybody’s ball game na, from there, sa second set nakabuwelo ulit kami,” he said.
“Pinabagal lang namin ang laro ng Generika kasi babalik at babalik ’yan so hindi na namin hinintay ang pagkakataon na ’yun habang ganoon ang laro nila sinasamantalaga na naming ’yun,” he added.
Chloe Cortez scored nine points for Generika, which absorbed its fifth loss in seven outings.
Shaya Adorador chipped in seven points for the Life Savers, while Gen Casugod and Wensh Tiu contributed six.
