Cignal recovers from a set down to keep Sta Lucia winless in Superliga Invitational

CIGNAL got back on track in dispatching newcomer Sta. Lucia, 20-25, 25-10, 25-20, 25-10, in the Belo-Philippine Superliga Invitational Conference on Saturday at the Malolos Sports and Convention Center in Bulacan.

Rachel Anne Daquis and Honey Royse Tubino led the way for the HD Spikers with 12 and 11 points, respectively.

The former two-time runner-up their record to 2-1 win-loss mark, good for third in the standings.

The HD Spikers dominated the match with more attack points (50-31) and more service aces (9-4).

Lourdes Clemente finished with 10 points, while Jonah Sabete had eight kills for the Lady Realtors, who have yet to win in two starts.
