STANDARD Insurance Navy scored its first win, beating Amy's, 25-21, 26-28, 25-23, 25-20, on Sunday in the Philippine Super Liga All Filipino Conference at The Arena in San Juan.
Hezzymie Acuña scored 17, Pau Soriano had 15 points and Divine Eguia had 12 as the Corvettes finally won after two losses while keeping the Amy’s winless in four macthes.
Standard Insurance Navy coach Nene Ybañez-Chavez said that the team still lacks team work.
"Ok naman 'yung chemistry pero andoon pa rin tayo na nagkakanya-kanya," she said. "Nag-uusap naman pero sa sobrang eagerness, nawawala sila sa focus."
Cindy Imbo scored 17 for Amy's, Maribeth Lara had 14 points and Lourdes Clemente chipped in with 13.
