GENERIKA-Ayala bagged third place in the Philippine Super Liga All-Filipino Conference, defeating Cignal, 25-12, 30-28, 25-13, on Saturday at the MOA Arena.
Patty Orendain had 16 points, from 11 kills, four blocks and one service ace for the Life Savers, while Angeli Araneta had 13 markers and Fiola Ceballos added 10.
It was a good run for Generika-Ayala, which registered its best finish in the league since bannering the Philippine Army in the 2014 Grand Prix.
Royse Tubino finished with 15 points for Cignal, while team captain Rachel Anne Daquis had 10 and Mylene Paat struggled and only had three points.
