FOTON team looks to extend its winning run when it faces struggling Generika-Ayala in the Philippine Super Liga All-Filipino Conference on Thursday at The Arena in San Juan.
The Tornadoes and Life Savers clash at 5 p.m.
Serbian coach Moro Branislav is pleased with the Tornadoes’ performance, although he notes this is a much different team from the one that won the PSL Grand Prix last year
“This Foton team is a new team, almost half (from the previous lineup) left the team,” said Branislav.
“But we try to play with what we have.”
Angeli Araneta, Patty Jane Orendain, Carol Cerveza and Bia General have transferred to Generika-Ayala, while Sisi Rondina and Rhea Dimaculangan moved to Petron.
With holdovers Jaja Santiago, EJ Laure and Maika Ortiz leading the way, the Tornadoes are doing well and are on top of Pool C with a 4-0 win-loss record, although Branislav warns the team there’s much work to do.
“Yes we are unbeaten but what we aim for is the Grand Prix,” said the veteran coach.
Generika-Ayala is at the bottom of the pack with a 2-2 win-loss card.
The Life Savers try to bounce back from a four-set loss to Petron.
