COACH Ramil de Jesus is pleased with Kalei Mau’s fine debut and is eager to see more of what the Fil-American can do as she fits into F2 Logistics’ system.

Mau came up with 17 points, 14 digs and eight excellent sets in a three-set win by F2 over PLDT in the PSL All Filpino Conference on Tuesday.

“Malaki at marunong dumepensa hindi takot ihagis yung katawan niya,” De Jesus told reporters on Tuesday.

“Open naman siya sa lahat ng suggestions sa kanya and then kung ano yung pwede idagdag sa mga ginagawa niya sa loob open naman siya doon,” the three-time PSL champion coach added.

It was a big debut with F2 for Mau, who was did not see action last week days after being acquired by the Cargo Movers following the disbandment of United VC.

“I couldn't have dreamt a more perfect match with my new team than tonight. It was better than I expected,” said Mau

“I think that we really did a good job of maintaining and managing the other players on the other team,” she added.

Mau said she is very pleased to be back in action and play under De Jesus after the frustration with the UVC disbandment.

“I love it! This guy gives me some really great feedback that I really can take in and think about to improve my game,” the 24-year-old said. “I think I adjusted to what he was telling me throughout the game. So, I really like playing for him.”

Mau is also grateful for setters Michelle Cobb and Alex Cabanos giving her plenty of opportunity on offense.

“The most important thing I think is definitely with my setters, Alex and Mich,” she said. “I have such a different style of play. I play at a higher trajectory on the net so definitely, I'm super thankful that they're able to adjust and they're being versatile for me and I'm going to continue to adjust as best as I can for them.”

Joining the team already boasting of Ara Galang, Aby Maraño, Majoy Baron, Kianna Dy and libero Dawn Macandili is no pressure for Mau.

“The pressure was finding a team, a good team that I was going to be comfortable with,” Mau said. “I found that already and now, it's just for fun for me like I like coming out here and working out with these girls.”
