F2 Logistics vented its ire on Cignal with a 25-18, 25-14, 25-22 victory, regaining its winning ways in the Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday at the Malolos Sports and Convention Center.
Following frustrating back-to-back five-set losses to Petron and PLDT last week, the Cargo Movers finally showed their killer instincts dispatching the HD Spikers in just 90 minutes.
Kalei Mau led the charge with 20 points built on 16 kills, a pair of blocks and as many as aces. Majoy Baron had 14 points, while Ara Galang added 10 markers.
Returning setter Kim Fajardo was also impressive with 18 excellent sets and 12 digs helping libero Dawn Macandili, who had 21 digs, on floor defense.
“Yung trust talaga ni coach sa amin, alam niya kasi na babawi kami from all the losses that we had,” said Baron as her teammates finally bounced back. “We prepared talaga for this game and yun, lumabas naman yung training namin.”
The Cargo Movers only had 10 errors in the match and had a great service with 11 aces as they finished at second place with a 12-2 win-loss record.
F2 Logistics battles seventh placer Sta. Lucia (2-12) in the knockout quarterfinals on Saturday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
Rachel Anne Daquis was the lone HD Spiker to score in double figures finishing with 14 points only for her team to drop with a 7-7 record.
The loss of Cignal gave Foton (8-6) the No.3 spot, while the HD Spikers fell at fifth seed facing fourth placer Generika-Ayala (8-6) in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
