F2 Logistics bested Cignal, 25-16, 25-19, 25-19, to kick off its campaign in the Philippine Super Liga All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday at The Arena in San Juan.
Team captain Cha Cruz-Behag finished with 12 points, while Kim Dy and Majoy Baron each had 11 markers for the Cargo Movers, last year’s runners-up who joined opening-day winners Smart and Petron at the No. 1 spot.
“Well, good start para sa amin. Nag-gain kami ng confidence para sa susunod na game,” said F2 Logistics coach Ramil de Jesus.
But the seasoned mentor does not want to settle for anything less than perfect.
F2 Logistics only committed 12 errors compared to Cignal’s 25 miscues in the match that took an hour and 24 minutes to finish.
“Although medyo hindi pa ganoon kabilis 'yung galaw and sumasabay pa kami sa bilis ng kalaban,” he said. “May mga kailangan pang ayusin para gumanda 'yung galaw sa loob.”
Mylene Paat and skipper Rachel Anne Daquis led the way for the HD Spikers with 12 points apiece.
Cignal is at the lower half of the standings with Sta. Lucia and Cocolife.
